The first meeting of project partners in the Naturavita project – “Demining, Restoration and Protection of Forests and Forest Land in Protected and Natura 2000 Areas in the Danube-Drava Region” was held on 3 and 4 October 2018 in Kopački Rit. The implementation of the Naturavita project began on September 21, 2018. During the first day a short tour of Nature Park “Kopački rit” was organized for all partners with the aim of getting acquainted with all aspects of the Nature park including the rich biodiversity that exists in the park. Following the tour, the working meeting was held where the lead partner of the project “Hrvatske šume” presented a detailed work plan for the following period, and the project partners held short presentations about their project activities to be implemented by the end of 2018 and throughout the 2019.
The „NATURAVITA“ project will be implemented within the framework of the European Union Operational program Competitiveness and Cohesion for the period 2014-2020 and its total value is EUR 49.9m. The project partnership for the preparation and the implementation of the project consists of 6 partners: “Hrvatske šume”, Croatian Centre for Mine Action, Croatian Government Office for Mine Action, “Hrvatske vode”, Public Institution „Nature Park Kopački rit“ and Agency for the Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia.
