Within Activity 7.2. Naturavita project – Implementation of research works, system establishment and monitoring, with interpretation of results an introductory meeting of Hrvatske vode, PP Kopački rit and contractors from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering Zagreb was held regarding research and monitoring of recent sedimentation in the Kopački rit Nature Park.
After defining the optimal locations for the installation of measuring stations for the observation of recent sedimentation on the available cartographic bases, a field tour of the same was performed.
During the field visit, the most suitable locations for measuring bars were selected, where recent sedimentation or erosion will be monitored, taking care that external influences (animals, trunks, water velocity…) do not lead to movement of measuring bars, so that the collected data are as accurate as possible synthesized and interpreted, all with the aim of defining the spatial and temporal dynamics of sedimentation processes in certain parts of the Kopački rit Nature Park.
